Class Curriculum

This 8-week class is focused on spiritual development for 6-year olds. Developed by Rabata, this unique program focuses on belief, character development, and value systems by learning about forgiveness, mercy, compassion, and the Oneness of God. It is also supported by stories from the life of the Prophet Muhammad (s), his companions, and other prophets mentioned in the Quran. It encompasses age appropriate songs, activities, interactive classes, and games. Some of the topics that are covered in this class are:

  • How do Muslims celebrate Ramadan? How does fasting help us grow patience?

  • How can we develop the habit of prayer? How can prayer help us build taqwa?

  • How do we talk to Allah and how does He talk with us?

  • What are some ways we celebrate Eid?

  • How does the Quran help us develop our spiritual heart?

  • What does God hear? What does God see? What does God know?

Class Day & Time

Sundays 3:00 - 4:00 pm CST

Session Dates: March 19 - May 28

Ramadan & Eid Break: April 9 - 29

Class will resume on April 30th 

Please note: 

1. This class is designed for girls who are currently 6-years old.

2. For the privacy and protection of all our students, classes are NOT recorded. Students must attend live sessions. 

3. Program Policy: Once the session begins, NO refunds are allowed.

Afshan Malik is a Chicago native turned southern belle who loves Dr. Pepper, long naps, and historical novels. She holds a Masters degree in Nonprofit Management and a Bachelors degree in English Language & Literature. Afshan serves as the Director of Development at Rabata and is the author of the 2019 young adult novel Pieces. Afshan currently lives in Houston with her husband and 5 children.
