Class Curriculum

This 8-week class is focused on spiritual development for 12-year olds. Developed by Rabata, the unique program focuses on belief, character development, and value systems by learning about age appropriate tahara, wudu, the four levels of purification, and polishing the heart with prayer. This program is centered around the inward and outward elements of prayer including the adhan and places of worship. Some of the topics that are covered in this class are:

  • How the earth prepared for the arrival of the Prophet?

  • How was the Prophet's (s) childhood special?

  • How did revelation start?

  • Understand the dawah in Mecca.

  • What was the hijra?

  • Why is it important to study Seera?

  • What is Sunnah? What is hadith?

Class Day & Time

Sundays 5.30 - 6:30 pm CST

Session Dates: September 17 - November 5

Please note: 

1. This class is designed for girls who are currently 12-years old. 

2. For the privacy and protection of all our students, classes are NOT recorded. Students must attend live sessions. 

3. Program Policy: Once the session begins, NO refunds are allowed.

This class meets once a week for one hour.

Instructor

Instructor Bio:

Kiashe Pugh converted to Islam as a freshman in college, while attending Rutgers University, where she double majored in Psychology and Biology. After graduating she taught for a year and then went to the Middle East for nearly two decades with her family. She studied Tajweed, learned an appreciation for loving Allah’s Messenger, and took care of her family. Anse Kiashe continues to seek Islamic knowledge and she enjoys reading, traveling, and cooking for family and friends.
