Class Curriculum

This 8-week class is focused on spiritual development for 11-12 year olds. Developed by Rabata, the unique program focuses on belief, character development, and value systems by learning about age appropriate tahara, wudu, the four levels of purification, and polishing the heart with prayer. This program is centered around the inward and outward elements of prayer including the adhan and places of worship. Some of the topics that are covered in this class are:

  • What is Tahara?

  • Learn the 4 levels of purification.

  • View the steps of wudu and learn du'as to say at each step.

  • Understand how muslims have shown love for the Prophet (S).

  • Articulate the merits of the obligatory prayers.

  • How does prayer help us polish our hearts?

Wednesdays 6:30 - 7:30 pm CST

Session Dates: September 21 - November 9

Please note: 

1. This class is designed for children born between the dates of: 

11-year olds: January 1, 2011 - December 31, 2011

12-year olds: January 1, 2010 - December 31, 2010

2. For the privacy and protection of all our students, classes are NOT recorded. Students must attend live sessions. 

3. Program Policy: Once the session begins, NO refunds are allowed.

Kiashe Pugh converted to Islam as a freshman in college, while attending Rutgers University, where she double majored in Psychology and Biology. After graduating she taught for a year and then went to the Middle East for nearly two decades with her family. She studied Tajweed, learned an appreciation for loving Allah’s Messenger, and took care of her family. Anse Kiashe continues to seek Islamic knowledge and she enjoys reading, traveling, and cooking for family and friends.
