Class Curriculum

An 8-week class developed by Rabata focusing on spiritual development for youth, covering belief, character development, and value systems. The class is taught by one of Rabata’s certified instructors in a fun and engaging environment.


Students will learn about: 

  • The spiritual heart, this life, and the hereafter 
  • Doing good deeds and connection to Allah 
  • Reflecting upon the Qur’an and Sunnah 
  • Virtues of ibadah, ihsan, and hikma 
  • Right and wrong actions

Spotted Darners: Boys 8-years old

  • What are the different ways I identify myself?

  • Who was Muhammad ﷺ? How did he ﷺ know he was a prophet?

  • Why do we do dhikr?

  • What are some different kinds of love?

  • How is Divine love the best love?

  • How can we show our love for God?

  • What did God give us? How can we show gratefulness to God?

  • What is power?

Class Day & Time

Wednesdays 6:00 - 7:00 pm CST

Session Dates: September 25 - November 13

Please note: 

1. This class is designed for boys who are currently 8 years old. 

2. For the privacy and protection of all our students, classes are NOT recorded. Students must attend live sessions. 

3. Program Policy: Once the session begins, NO refunds are allowed.

Certificate of Participation

A certificate of participation will be given to students who complete the class.

This class meets once a week for one hour.

Instructor

Anse Leslie Sakina Bennani is an enthusiastic educator with a passion for learning. She received her B.A in Communication from University of Delaware and her M.Ed. in Elementary Studies from Wilmington University. She also holds additional certification in Special Education. Anse Leslie embraced Islam over 25 years ago and currently serves her local community by teaching at her local Islamic school, and mentoring new converts to Islam. She is also a part of the Dawah Committee at her local masjid. Anse Leslie is currently pursuing Ribaat Teacher Certification and is a student of sacred knowledge at Ribaat Academic Institute. Anse Leslie enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 grown children and learning about natural healing and Prophetic medicine. Anse Leslie currently resides with her family in Delaware.
