Class Curriculum

This 8-week class is focused on spiritual development for 11-year olds. Developed by Rabata, the unique program focuses on belief, character development, and value systems by learning about the spiritual heart, this life and the hereafter, doing good deeds, and dhikr. This program also reflects upon the Qur’an and Sunnah, focuses on Ibadah (worship), Ihsan (to obtain excellence in worship), hikma (wisdom), and learning about right and wrong actions. The content is delivered in a fun and engaging online environment taught by diverse certified Ribaat Instructors. Some of the topics that are covered in this class are:

  • What is Tahara?

  • Learn the 4 levels of purification.

  • View the steps of wudu and learn du'as to say at each step.

  • Understand how muslims have shown love for the Prophet (S).

  • Articulate the merits of the obligatory prayers.

  • How does prayer help us polish our hearts?

Please note: 

1. This class is designed for girls who are currently 11-years old. 

2. For the privacy and protection of all our students, classes are NOT recorded. Students must attend live sessions. 

3. Program Policy: Once the session begins, NO refunds are allowed.

Globe Skimmers: Girls 11-years old

This class meets once a week for one hour.

Instructor

Instructor Bio:

Anse Dr. Sana Shireen Ahmed has completed her Ribaat Teacher Certification through the Ribaat Academic Institute. She is a doctor who works as a “disease detective” investigating outbreaks and has authored public health articles. She enjoyed combining her learning with travel, having studied Arabic in Egypt and tropical medicine in Peru. Anse Sana has taught elementary- aged students sira and basic tajwid at the Islamic Society of Northwest Suburbs and is a Ribaat volunteer. She loves spending time with her four sisters, journalling, hiking, and raising plants. She lives in Illinois with her husband.
