Class Curriculum

An 8-week class developed by Rabata focusing on spiritual development for youth, covering belief, character development, and value systems. The class is taught by one of Rabata’s certified instructors in a fun and engaging environment.


Students will learn about: 

  • The spiritual heart, this life, and the hereafter 
  • Doing good deeds and connection to Allah 
  • Reflecting upon the Qur’an and Sunnah 
  • Virtues of ibadah, ihsan, and hikma 
  • Right and wrong actions

Blue Dashers: Boys 6-7 years old

  • My identity as a Muslim

  • What is a Prophet?

  • Who was Muhammad ﷺ?

  • Who was Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as a baby and a child?

  • What does it mean to polish the heart?

  • What is real knowledge?

  • What does it mean to have a beginning and an end?

  • How can we recognize Allah in His creation?

Class Day & Time

Tuesdays 5:00 - 6:00 pm CST

Session Dates: September 24 - November 12

Please note: 

1. This class is designed for boys who are currently 6 and 7 years old. 

2. For the privacy and protection of all our students, classes are NOT recorded. Students must attend live sessions. 

3. Program Policy: Once the session begins, NO refunds are allowed.

Certificate of Participation

A certificate of participation will be given to students who complete the class.

This class meets once a week for one hour.

Instructor

Anse Michelle Sekusky is a student of traditional Islamic education under the guidance of Shaykha Dr. Tamara Gray. Within the Ohio community, Anse Michelle served on the board of the Noor Islamic Cultural Center and actively volunteered with local masjid committees. As an accomplished songwriter and vocalist, Anse Michelle is passionate about using music to connect women to their faith through nasheed and singing. Currently, she is a proud member of the Twin City Women’s Choir and serves on the board of Her Voice Productions. Anse Michelle is also the Rabata Cultural Center Manager and contributes to Rabata’s Convert Care program. In 2022, she obtained her ijaza in the 40 Hadith of Imam an-Nawawi. Recently, she joined the speakers and board of the Islamic Resource Group (IRG), where she educates the wider community about Islam.
