Class Curriculum

This 8-week class is focused on spiritual development for 8-year olds. Developed by Rabata, this unique program focuses on belief, character development, and value systems by learning about forgiveness, mercy, compassion, and the Oneness of God. It is also supported by stories from the life of the Prophet Muhammad (s), his companions, and other prophets mentioned in the Quran. It encompasses age appropriate songs, activities, interactive classes, and games. Some of the topics that are covered in this class are:

  • What does it mean to polish the heart?

  • What is real knowledge?

  • Who is God? What is mercy, compassion, forgiveness?

  • Who was Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as a baby and a child? How did he ﷺ know he was a prophet?

  • What did God give us? How can we show gratefulness to God?

  • What is power? Why do we do dhikr?

Fridays 6:00 - 7:00 pm CST

Session Dates: September 23- November 11

Please note: 

1. This class is designed for children born between the dates of: 

January 1, 2014 - December 31, 2014 

2. For the privacy and protection of all our students, classes are NOT recorded. Students must attend live sessions. 

3. Program Policy: Once the session begins, NO refunds are allowed.

Carla Taylor was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she attended San Jose State University and received her B.S. in Health Science. She has worked in the nonprofit field for over 10 years, where many of her roles have allowed her to provide community mentorship and outreach. She is currently working on completing her Ribaat Teaching Certificate while homeschooling her 3 kids. Carla enjoys hiking and backpacking with her family while discussing and exploring Islamic teachings. Carla takes a holistic approach to education, placing a high importance on fostering personal development and empathy in the youth. Beyond her professional endeavors, Michelle enjoys travel, reading, writing, and cherishing moments with loved ones, particularly in the great outdoors.
