Class Curriculum

An 8-week class developed by Rabata focusing on spiritual development for youth, covering belief, character development, and value systems. The class is taught by one of Rabata’s certified instructors in a fun and engaging environment.


Students will learn about: 

  • The spiritual heart, this life, and the hereafter 
  • Doing good deeds and connection to Allah 
  • Reflecting upon the Qur’an and Sunnah 
  • Virtues of ibadah, ihsan, and hikma 
  • Right and wrong actions 


*Each term, students will engage with new content and topics


Sun Dragons: Girls 11-years old

  • How have muslims shown love for the Prophet ﷺ?

  • How can we express our love for the Prophet ﷺ?

  • What is tahara?

  • What are the deeper meanings of wudu?

  • What are the acts of wudu?

  • What is inner and outer tahara?

  • What does it mean to be ritually unclean?

Class Day & Time

Sundays 12:00 - 1:00 pm CST

Session Dates: September 22 - November 10

Please note: 

1. This class is designed for girls who are currently 11 years old. 

2. For the privacy and protection of all our students, classes are NOT recorded. Students must attend live sessions. 

3. Program Policy: Once the session begins, NO refunds are allowed.

 

Certificate of Participation

A certificate of participation will be given to students who complete the class.

This class meets once a week for one hour.

Instructor

Anse Dr. Sana Shireen Ahmed has completed her Ribaat Teacher Certification through the Ribaat Academic Institute. She is a doctor who works as a “disease detective” investigating outbreaks and has authored public health articles. She enjoyed combining her learning with travel, having studied Arabic in Egypt and tropical medicine in Peru. Anse Sana has taught elementary- aged students sira and basic tajwid at the Islamic Society of Northwest Suburbs and is a Ribaat volunteer. She loves spending time with her four sisters, journalling, hiking, and raising plants. She lives in Illinois with her husband.
